Case Study: A partnership approach to tackling modern slavery in the supply chain

Building on a joint Biffa/Smart Solutions presentation at the 2019 RWM show, this will focus on the importance of partnership and how the companies working together has evolved; what they learned and how openness and honesty, sharing of relevant data and intelligence, regular updating and education of personnel works in practice addressing the challenges of MDS.

This will also cover the companies’ forthcoming, post pandemic priorities.

Agencies are increasingly working together to share intelligence to tackle modern slavery. The Joint Unit on Waste Crime, officially launched last year, includes the National Crime Agency as well as regulators and other Government bodies.
